To be eligible to participate in Postdoc Finder, you must meet the following eligibility criteria:

  • Must have a Ph.D., M.D., DDS or other equivalent doctoral degree in a related discipline or expect to complete all degree requirements by the time you start any postdoc position that is offered.
  • Must have less than 5 years of relevant postdoctoral experience at the time of appointment
  • Must either
    • be a citizen or permanent resident of the United States at the time you apply
    • or must participate in the NIH Visiting Fellows Program. Visit the NIH Division of International Services to learn more about visa requirements and the process for onboarding at the NIH.

In order to be approved for logical and physical access to NIH facilities and systems, candidates must be able to pass a federal background check.
